Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Special arms
- Survey Corps steed
Third Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe reveals a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
